At last! After almost 18 months of closure and a first stage by abolishing mandatory quarantine for vaccinated travellers, but retaining imperative reasons for travelCanada's Minister of Health, Patty Hajdu, announced on Monday that the country would now be open to vaccinated travelers without restriction or the need for a compelling reason as of Tuesday, September 7, 2021.
From August 9, even vaccinated Americans will be able to travel to neighboring Canada. At present, only Montreal, Toronto, Calgary and Vancouver airports can handle international flights. As of August 9, Halifax, Quebec City, Ottawa, Winnipeg and Edmonton will once again be able to receive flights.
This decision should be taken with a grain of salt, as the situation could change considerably in the meantime. Follow Canada's restrictions on our dedicated page.
