On December 21, 2022, the Indian authorities announced the reintroduction of the Canadian nationality to Indian e-visa. It is now possible to apply for a visa online and obtain an electronic travel authorization. The Indian government has announced that all Canadian citizens who have applied for a paper visa at Indian offices and consulates in Canada should be patient, as applications will be given priority by the authorities in the next few days.
