China: compulsory health QR code to enter the country

To ensure the health and safety of international travelers and reduce the risk of transmission of COVID-19, the Embassy of the People's Republic of China in France announced in a press release that all travelers to China will be required to present a negative PCR or serological test accompanied by a health QR code.

Health QR code: the new must-have device for traveling in China

To be requested from the Chinese Embassy in France or the Consulate, the health QR code must be green in color with the indication "HS" for Chinese travelers or "HDC" for international travelers. This health QR code has been mandatory for travel to China since December 1, 2020.

Where and when to go for screening in France?

PCR and serological tests must be carried out in France within two days of the boarding date. For example, if the test is performed on December 1, the departure flight must be scheduled before midnight on December 3.

In addition, your COVID-19-negative serological test must be marked "lgM" to be valid. PCR tests performed in pharmacies will not be accepted.
