Four air transport giants have summoned the White House and the European Commission for the resumption of traffic between the USA and Europe.
On Tuesday July 21, American Airlines, IAG, Lufthansa and United Airlines wrote to call for a COVID-19 passenger testing program.
The aim is to protect and restore travelers' confidence in transatlantic flights, and to restore safe travel between the USA and Europe, without quarantine conditions or other restrictions.
Several countries and airlines already require a negative test, carried out less than 72 hours before the flight, in order to cross their borders, thus cancelling or reducing the duration of the mandatory quarantine.
