Estonia aims to attract a new population with its e-Visa

A digital nomad is someone who uses new technologies to work remotely. They can work anywhere, as long as they have an Internet connection!
Since the Covid 19 pandemic, this way of working has become commonplace, as many people have found they can work remotely.

Estonia is well aware of this, and has decided to create a digital visa allowing foreigners to telework on its territory for 12 months.

Former Soviet-era warehouses have been transformed into a cultural venue and workspace right in the heart of Tallin. Thanks to the new e-Visa, newcomers will be able to join the existing start-ups.

For some years now, Estonia has been focusing on going all-digital and betting on technology. In 2014, a program was introduced to offer foreigners the opportunity to set up a business or open a bank account using a digital identity: e-residency. This program has brought in almost 41 million euros for the State.

As Estonia is a small country, the aim is to attract more people and make the economy stronger, according to the general manager of the e-Residency program.

As CEO of Visamundi, I am dedicated to facilitating international travel by helping our customers obtain visas worldwide. By staying at the forefront of ever-changing regulations, I ensure that our agency is a trusted pillar in the field of visa services.
