The Embassy of the Russian Federation in France has announced that all types of visas have been issued since August 4 for its consular section as well as the consulates general in Marseille, Strasbourg and the chancellery in Villefranche-sur-Mer.
This announcement concerns paper visas only, as the Russian electronic visa (e-Visa) is still suspended until further notice.It will undoubtedly reopen soon. Travelers from France, or legally resident in France, can obtain a tourist, business or study visa.
From August 25, 2021, French tourists will be able to obtain a visa in the passport valid for 6 months, allowing a stay of up to 90 days on site, pending the release of the electronic version, true game-changer in the trip to Russia.
