South Korea: end of quarantine for non-vaccinated international travellers

From June 8, non-vaccinated travellers will be exempt from quarantine.

In his press release of Friday June 3, Prime Minister Han Duck-soo declared that the mandatory 7-day quarantine for travelers would be lifted as of June 8.

The lifting of pandemic-related restrictions on air travel comes at a time when demand for foreign travel is increasing following the removal of social distancing rules and the slowdown in the spread of Covid-19.

Despite this lifting, international travelers will have to undergo a Covid test before departure, as well as a PCR test within 3 days of arrival in South Korea. Precautionary measures are therefore being maintained, despite a determination to regain pre-pandemic momentum. This negative certificate will be included in the government Q-Code pre-entry systemwhich is due to be revised in the near future for "greater online convenience", explained the Prime Minister.
