On Monday June 7, the head of government, Pedro Sanchez, announced the introduction of a vaccination certificate to facilitate travelers' entry into Spain.
Anyone wishing to travel to Spain from a country considered to be at risk must present a vaccination certificate, a document certifying their vaccination against Covid-19, a negative PCR test or a certificate of immunity after recovery.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs also added that "this can be an EU Digital Covid Certificate, for EU nationals, or a supporting document for the cases listed above, whether you come from an EU member state or a non-EU country. Children under the age of six are not required to present such a certificate or supporting document."
With a real desire to revitalize tourism in the country, Pedro Sanchez declared on May 21: "From June 7, all vaccinated people and their families will be welcome in our country, Spain, regardless of their country of origin".
