After introducing a 14-day quarantine, the Thai authorities have announced a relaxation of entry conditions for international travelers from April 2021.
Mr. Anutin Charnvirakul, Thailand's Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Public Health, announced: "Foreigners who have documents certifying vaccination, carried out between 14 days and no more than 3 months before travel, as well as a document certifying the absence of Covid-19 issued 72 hours before departure, and who are then tested again on arrival in Thailand with no infection found, will see the quarantine period reduced to 7 days".
For non-vaccinated travelers, Mr. Anutin Charnvirakul added: "Foreign nationals who do not have documents certifying vaccination against Covid-19, but only a certificate of non-contamination with Covid-19 issued 72 hours before departure, will see the quarantine period reduced to 10 days."
This easing of entry conditions should see the light of day in April, subject to approval by the Prime Minister.
