We announced it to you a short while ago. The Indian government has decided to welcome tourists back to the country after an 18-month suspension. The opening will take place in two phases:
- from October 15, 2021Tourists from certain countries with bilateral agreements will be accepted via charter flights.
- from November 15, 2021tourists from all over the world will be able to visit India
No further details have been released, including the list of eligible countries. (France is probably one of them).e-Visas, vaccination requirements and the famous first 500,000 visas offered. Further details are expected shortly.
India has not recorded a peak in deaths for several weeks now, and industry professionals, with little or no help from the government, have urged the authorities to establish a clear recovery protocol.
