Vietnam: easing of sanitary measures for vaccinated travellers

From today (February 15, 2022), Vietnam lifts coronavirus restrictions on international flights for fully vaccinated passengers.

Vietnam's aviation authority announced this in a press release, and it's excellent news for a country that had closed itself off to the world since the start of the Covid-19 pandemic. Like many other destinations, this closure had dealt a severe blow to the country's tourism sector, on which the bulk of the national economy is based.

However, the authorities have gradually eased restrictions in recent months, with visitors arriving in dribs and drabs as part of the travel bubbles implemented since last November.

The release does not specify how many flights will be allowed into the country, but indicates that arrivals may be allowed to return to the pre-pandemic levels.

However, anyone wishing to enter Vietnam must be fully vaccinated and must observe a strict vaccination schedule. three-day quarantineeither at home or in a hotel. On the third day, a PCR test will be carried out at her own expense.

In addition, unvaccinated travellers will undergo a rapid test on arrival at Hanoi and Hรด-Chi-Minh-Ville international airports, and will have to "self-isolate" for 7 days at home or in their booked accommodation. On days 3 and 7, a PCR test will be carried out at their own expense.
