We'd been waiting for it for a few months. With the Brexit, the EU had announced, rather like their counterparts across the Channel, the introduction of an electronic travel authorisation (ETIAS), based on the US equivalent, ESTA.
We now know the price: €7. From the end of 2022, all travelers aged 18 to 70 will have to make their simplified application online to obtain the precious document, which will be valid for 3 years (or sooner if your passport expires in the meantime), for multiple entries.
