Each year, the citizenship consultancy Henley & Parners, Henley Passport Index has compiled a list of countries where international travel is possible without the need for a visa. This study, published on January 5, does not take into account restrictions linked to the health crisis.
The results of this study show that for the fourth year running, Japan is in first place. In fact, the Japanese can travel to 191 destinations without having to apply for a visa.
As for the French passport, it has slipped back two places to 6th position. The French can travel freely to 186 countries, and must apply for a visa for 40 destinations.
