At present, Turks have to apply for a long and tedious Schengen visa for every day they spend in Europe.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>We'll come to power and win the presidency, and we'll make this country a free-breathing place within a year at the latest. <strong>In three months' time, every citizen will be able to travel to Europe without a visa.<br \/>\n<\/strong><em>- Kemal Kilicdaroglu<\/em><strong><br \/>\n<\/strong><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Worry: no one knows how <em>People's Republican Party<\/em>announced as running neck-and-neck with incumbent President Erdogan in the May 14 presidential election, is planning to get Europe to accept this proposal, especially in such a short space of time. Although he announced agreements with Germany, the expatriate home of part of the Turkish diaspora, the latter was quick to refute his comments.<\/p>\n<p>In 2016, as part of the efforts required of Turkey to once again accept its nationals in an irregular situation, Europe asked Turkey to respect <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ab.gov.tr\/the-visa-liberation-dialogue_51819_en.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>72 criteria in its visa liberalization process<\/strong><\/a>divided into 5 categories: <em>Document security, Migration management, Public order and security, Fundamental rights and Return of irregular migrants<\/em>. Turkey is currently complying with 67 of the 72 points, but Germany has ruled out the possibility of the last 5 points being \".<em>paid in 3 months<\/em>\".
