The <strong>youth website<\/strong>and <strong>the massive influx of applications<\/strong> (<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">embassies no longer receive traditional visa applications<\/span>) may be a first step in the right direction. It's also possible that the site's integrated online payment system is encountering problems. <strong>technical problems<\/strong>such as connection errors with payment service providers or transaction processing errors. <em>An Internet user even had fun debugging the Cameroon authorities' site, identifying an API problem...<\/em><\/p>\n<blockquote><p>The Consulate General of Cameroon in Paris (France) informs the public that as of April 30, 2023, all visa applications to Cameroon will be made exclusively online.<br \/>\n<em><strong>Cameroon Consulate in Paris<\/strong><\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Faced with these problems, the Cameroonian authorities have become aware of the difficulties encountered by users and have announced their intention to <strong>solve payment problems quickly<\/strong>. Intermediary agencies have no control over these deadlines, as visa issuance is always at the discretion of the Cameroonian authorities.<\/p>\n<p>Delays can be caused by a number of factors, including a <strong>lack of staff to process requests<\/strong>and <strong>technical problems in the treatment system<\/strong> or a <strong>inefficient coordination<\/strong> of the various stages in the process.<\/p>\n<h2>Extremely high consular fees<\/h2>\n<p>Already high, consular fees have not benefited from the dematerialization of the process, which in theory requires fewer staff. Worse still, these costs have actually risen slightly (+5%).<span class=\"currency-convertor\" data-amount=\"13\">13,00 &#8364;<\/span>), including technical payment costs. With nearly <span class=\"currency-convertor\" data-amount=\"167\">167,00 &#8364;<\/span> consular fees for \"normal\" processing, <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Cameroon is one of the world's most expensive destinations<\/span>. Charges for an emergency issue have even rocketed, with an increase of 33% (short stay) or 50% (long stay).<\/p>\n<p>So make sure you don't make a mistake when submitting your application, or you'll have to pay again if it's rejected. <strong>Embassy will not reimburse rejected applications<\/strong>.
