Statistics show that the Southeast Asian country welcomed 945,590 tourists in May, compared with 865,810 in April.<\/p>\n<p>What's more, the World Bank has placed Indonesia in the top bracket of middle-income countries, according to the Indonesian president <strong>Joko Widodo<\/strong>. This year, Indonesia regained its ranking as gross national income per capita rose to 4,580 USD, an improvement on last year's 4,140 USD, which had kept it in lower-middle income status for the second year running due to the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic.<\/p>\n<p>The World Bank classifies countries into 4 economic groups: low income (USD 1,135), lower middle income (USD 1,136 to 4,465), upper middle income (USD 4,446 to 13,845) and high income (over USD 13,845).<\/p>\n<h2>There are no longer any health restrictions on travel to Indonesia<\/h2>\n<p>Since June 9, 2023, travel to the Indonesian archipelago no longer requires a Covid-19 vaccination certificate.
