The government is thus banking on the growing worldwide popularity of its stars and cultural productions to attract foreigners in search of authenticity or - why not - to break into the industry.

A migration policy in line with international standards

Visa reform is part of a wider plan announced by the Ministry of Justice. The fourth edition of this plan will be implemented in 2027 and comprises five main areas:

Promoting economic and regional development through immigration;

Creating a safe and secure society;

Promoting social integration between locals and immigrants;

Respect the human rights and values of immigrants;

Establish an immigration administration in line with international standards.

The government also plans to reduce the number of illegal immigrants in the country.
