Switzerland now joins a select group of European nations enjoying visa-free access to China.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Since 2010, China has been an important trading partner for Switzerland, and is currently ranked as its most important trading partner. <strong>3rd largest trading partner worldwide<\/strong>after the European Union and the United States.<\/p>\n<p>The Swiss government has referred to discussions concerning the inclusion of Switzerland on the list of countries whose residents can benefit from visa-free entry into China for up to 15 days.<\/p>\n<p>Although specific details were not provided, China's Xinhua news agency reported that China has agreed to unilaterally implement a visa-free policy for Swiss citizens. In return, Switzerland has pledged to facilitate visas for Chinese citizens and companies investing in the country.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.visamundi.co\/en\/blog\/china-visa-simplification\/\">China's National Immigration Administration has introduced four significant measures<\/a>The new regulations, effective January 11, 2024, simplify entry procedures for foreign nationals visiting China for business, study or tourism purposes.<\/p>\n<h2>Other countries benefiting from Chinese visa exemption<\/h2>\n<p>This move follows on from China's earlier decision to grant <a href=\"https:\/\/www.visamundi.co\/en\/blog\/china-visa-free-6-countries\/\">visa-free access for passport holders from France, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, Spain and Malaysia from December 1, 2023<\/a>. Under this visa-free treatment, tourists from these countries are allowed to visit China for a maximum of 15 days, until the end of 2024.
