This application offers a range of information and services, including an alert system, Internet calls, an automated question-and-answer system and embassy location services.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>This application can be downloaded from <a href=\"https:\/\/apps.apple.com\/us\/app\/thai-consular\/id1043566090\">iOS<\/a> And <a href=\"https:\/\/play.google.com\/store\/apps\/details?id=com.innohub.thaiconsular&amp;hl=en_US\">Google Play<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Fingerprint authentication provides rapid access to these functions. The department has also introduced an electronic manual called <em><strong>e-Consular<\/strong><\/em> serving as a comprehensive knowledge base for consular officers worldwide, facilitating access to information and communication with headquarters.<\/p>\n<h2>An online platform for foreign expatriate residence declarations<\/h2>\n<p>The Thai authorities have also introduced a <strong>online platform<\/strong> on the residence of foreign nationals in the country. This project, known as the \"90 Days Report\" (<em><strong>TM47<\/strong><\/em>) and can be accessed at <a href=\"https:\/\/tm47.immigration.go.th\/tm47\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">https:\/\/tm47.immigration.go.th\/tm47\/<\/a>is designed to enable foreign nationals residing in the country for more than 90 days to inform the immigration authorities of their intention to stay, by means of a \"residence permit\". <strong>simple email<\/strong> Or <strong>online form<\/strong>. <em>Previously, these people had to go to the immigration office in person, or send someone to do it for them.<\/em>.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>This new initiative is in line with the Prime Minister's objectives <strong>Srettha Thavisin<\/strong> aimed at attracting more foreign tourists and businessmen to Thailand.<\/li>\n<li>The online service will initially be available only to investors who have been granted Investment Board privileges, but is expected to be extended to other types of visa at a later date.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Extension of the e-Visa system in early 2024<\/h2>\n<p>As part of its digital transformation, Thailand's Department of Consular Affairs plans to expand its electronic visa application system (e-Visa) by adding <strong>11 additional offices in nine countries and support for 15 new languages<\/strong>. Implementation of this expansion is scheduled for early 2024. Other planned changes include :<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Setting up a <strong>secure authentication system<\/strong> called <em>e-Legalisation<\/em> for documents intended for international use, making it easier to track applications and add holographic stickers to prevent falsification.<\/li>\n<li>The creation of a <strong>consular index<\/strong> \"The aim is to compile statistical data on consular activities worldwide to help with budget allocation.<\/li>\n<li>The introduction of a <strong>overseas voting monitoring system<\/strong> In addition, we have set up a \"remote voting\" system to ensure that embassies comply with electoral regulations, notably by enabling real-time monitoring of the voting process and remote voting.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Thailand: Betting on AI<\/h2>\n<p>In addition to improvements to consular services and the online visa application process, Thailand now uses <strong>artificial intelligence (AI)<\/strong> with the use of intelligent algorithms enabling <strong>automatically answer frequently asked questions<\/strong> by users and provide information that can be accessed quickly.<\/p>\n<p>What does this mean for the future of consular relations?<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Thai Ministry of Foreign Affairs recently launched a mobile application designed to facilitate access to consular services.
