As economic and cultural ties deepen, Ankara is pushing for streamlined travel access.</p>","protected":false},"content":{"rendered":"<p>In an effort to further boost trade and tourism between Turkey and India, Turkish authorities are seeking to secure e-Visa access for their citizens traveling to India.</p>\n<p>According to Turkey’s ambassador to India <strong>Fırat Sunel</strong>, bilateral trade has <strong>doubled over the past decade</strong>—reaching nearly US$20 billion—and the two countries have stood by each other during difficult times.</p>\n<p></p>\n<img src=\"https://cdn.visamundi.co/uploads/wp-36142576368cae2b-hnep-hpb-400x400-300x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"181\" height=\"181\">\n<h2>The tourism opportunity as a growth driver</h2>\n<p>Mr. Sunel stressed that expanding tourist flows would generate significant revenue for both nations. While Turkey currently draws most of its visitors from Germany, Russia and the UK, <strong>India represents a major untapped market</strong> and he expressed the goal of welcoming <strong>over one million Indian travelers</strong> to Turkey in the near future.</p>\n<h3>The role of MICE travel in deepening ties</h3>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<p>Cultural and economic links strengthened through MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences &amp; Exhibitions) activities</p></li>\n<li>\n<p>Greater market access for Turkish investment in India</p></li>\n<li>\n<p>New cross-sector partnerships between Indian and Turkish enterprises</p></li></ul>\n<p>The ambassador is therefore urging India to introduce an e-visa for Turkish citizens traveling to India. Concurrently, Indian passport holders already benefit from a 30-day e-Visa when visiting Turkey—typically arriving via <em>Pegasus Airlines</em> or <em>Turkish Airlines</em>.</p>","protected":false},"tags":[42]}
