The Russian government has announced the addition of a new checkpoint to its already extensive list, bringing the total number of entry points accessible with an e-Visa to 105.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Tashanta: New gateway<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin has signed a directive adding the Tashanta road checkpoint in the Altai Republic to the list of approved entry points. <strong>Tashanta is a strategic village near the Mongolian border<\/strong>recognized for its key role in cross-border trade and tourism.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"392\" src=\"https:\/\/www.visamundi.co\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/02\/Capture-decran-2025-02-21-a-16.25.24-1024x392.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-7019645\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.visamundi.co\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/02\/Capture-decran-2025-02-21-a-16.25.24-1024x392.png 1024w, https:\/\/www.visamundi.co\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/02\/Capture-decran-2025-02-21-a-16.25.24-300x115.png 300w, https:\/\/www.visamundi.co\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/02\/Capture-decran-2025-02-21-a-16.25.24-768x294.png 768w, https:\/\/www.visamundi.co\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/02\/Capture-decran-2025-02-21-a-16.25.24-18x7.png 18w, https:\/\/www.visamundi.co\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/02\/Capture-decran-2025-02-21-a-16.25.24.png 1438w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">E-Visa: Facilitating tourism<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>To be launched in summer 2023, <strong>the e-Visa program allows travellers to apply for an e-Visa online for travel to Russia<\/strong>. This visa is designed for tourist and business trips of up to 16 days. One of the main advantages is that there is no need to provide invitations, hotel reservations or other supporting documents. Processing time is around four days, and the cost is \u20ac50 for consular fees, except for children under six, for whom the visa is free.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Russian government stresses that e-Visa will boost tourism, increase the attractiveness of regional investment and stimulate economic growth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">64 eligible countries<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>In December 2024, Russia extended the list of countries eligible for e-Visa to 64 states and territories<\/strong>including : Austria, Bahrain, Belgium, Bhutan, Bulgaria, Cambodia, China, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Eswatini, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, India, Indonesia, Iran, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Jordan, Kenya, Kuwait, Korea, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Saudi Arabia, Spain, Northern Macedonia, Malaysia, Malta, Mexico, Monaco, Myanmar, Norway, Oman, Papua New Guinea, Netherlands, Philippines, Poland, Portugal, Czech Republic, Romania, Saint Lucia, San Marino, Singapore, Slovakia, Slovenia, Sweden, Switzerland, Taiwan, Tonga, Trinidad and Tobago, Turkmenistan, Turkey, Vatican City, Vietnam and Zimbabwe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">105 entry points<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>With this expansion, foreign travellers from 64 countries can now enter Russia via <strong>105 control points<\/strong>including airports, seaports and land border crossings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The full list of authorized entry points for e-Visa holders includes:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Airports<\/strong>&nbsp;A wide selection of international and regional airports, including Moscow (Sheremetyevo, Domodedovo, Vnukovo and Zhukovsky), St. Petersburg (Pulkovo), and many others throughout the country.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Seaports<\/strong>&nbsp;Main ports include the Grand Port of St. Petersburg, the Passenger Port of St. Petersburg, the Port of Sochi, as well as ports in Kaliningrad, Korsakov, Magadan and Vladivostok.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Stations<\/strong>&nbsp;Several border stations, including St. Petersburg-Finland and stations linking Russia with China, Mongolia, Poland and Lithuania.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Land border crossings<\/strong>&nbsp;Road crossings linking Russia with Finland, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Mongolia and China.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Mixed, river and pedestrian checkpoints<\/strong>&nbsp;Additional crossing points to facilitate cross-border travel.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Russia: a new entry point unveiled Russia continues to facilitate international travel by expanding its electronic visa program (e-Visa).
