It is electronically linked to your passport and is valid for multiple trips over a two-year period.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Who should apply for an ETA?<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Visas should not be confused with ETAs. For some nationalities, a visa is still required to travel to the UK, and must be applied for at a British embassy or consulate. Travelers who do not require a visa are now required to travel with an ETA to the UK, for the <strong>tourism, business or study<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>How do I apply for an ETA?<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Apply online<\/strong>. To do this, you'll need to fill in your personal details on the form, and add several documents, including a copy of your passport and a passport photo. Be sure to respect the required format, and the clarity of your documents, to guarantee rapid processing. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>How much does an ETA cost?<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The ETA costs \u00a310. <strong>However, as of April 09, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.visamundi.co\/en\/blog\/united-kingdom-travel-bill-gets-tougher-as-leta-rises\/\">the fare will increase to \u00a316<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong><strong>When should I apply?<\/strong><\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>It is advisable to apply at least three days before your trip. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>How long is an ETA valid for?<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>An ETA is valid for two years or until your passport expires, whichever comes first. You can use it for several trips to the UK.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>When is ETA not enough?<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The ETA does not allow you to :<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Working in the UK.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Study for more than six months.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Moving to the UK.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>In these cases, you'll need a visa.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">European Union nationals now concerned<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>If you are planning a trip after April 02, remember to fill in the ETA form before you leave.
