According to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thaievisa.go.th\/visa\/tourist-visa\">official e-Visa portal<\/a>each candidate must now present <strong>proof of a minimum of 20,000 Thai bahts (minimum 700 euros)<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Proof of income for e-Visa<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Acceptable documents include a bank statement for the last three months or, if the trip is being financed by a third party, a letter of sponsorship. It can also be a pay slip or bank statement. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This requirement applies to all Thai embassies worldwide, including those in the USA, France and Norway. In addition, applicants must also provide:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>A passport valid for at least six months beyond the date of entry<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>A recent passport photo<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Proof of address (bill, rental contract, etc.)<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>A round-trip plane ticket<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Accommodation reservations (hotel or host contact details)<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>You can consult the website of the Thai embassy in your country of residence. For French nationals <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thaiembassy.fr\/fr\/visa-rdv\/infos-generales\/\">the link<\/a> from the website of the Royal Thai Embassy in France.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Visa on arrival VoA<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>It's also important to note that, although proof of financial means is officially required for tourist visa applications, it is not a requirement for any other visa, <strong>travelers arriving with a visa on arrival (VoA) may be required to provide proof of sufficient resources<\/strong> when crossing the border. Immigration officers have the right to refuse entry if the traveler cannot produce these documents, even if this control is not systematic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Visa waiver from 60 to 30 days?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>At present, nationals of 93 countries can enter Thailand without a visa for a stay of up to 60 days. However, this system is currently under review: <strong>Thai authorities plan to reduce visa-free stay to 30 days<\/strong>to combat abuse.
