Thailand continues to strengthen its tourist appeal by extending its visa waiver policies<\/strong>. According to recent government announcements, travelers from over 90 countries can now enjoy extended visa-free stays, with the aim of boosting tourist numbers and supporting the local economy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Since July 15, 2024, Thailand has granted visa-free access for a stay of up to 60 days for nationals of 93 countries<\/strong>compared with 30 days previously. This measure concerns both business travelers and tourists, and is designed to simplify the organization of stays and encourage repeat visits. The countries concerned include the USA, Canada, Mexico, Spain, Poland, Iceland, the Netherlands, Portugal, Argentina and Slovenia, as well as many other countries in Europe, America, Asia, Oceania and the Middle East. The full list also includes Australia, New Zealand, the UK, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, South Korea, Switzerland, Sweden, Norway, and several Latin American and Southeast Asian countries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Facilitating the entry process for travelers<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

This decision is part of the Thai government's ongoing efforts to revive the tourism sector, which was hit hard by the COVID-19 pandemic. The authorities hope to reach their target of 40 million international visitors by the end of the year, by offering a smoother, more accessible travel experience<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In addition to this exemption, Thailand maintains a visa-on-arrival program for 31 countries,<\/strong> for a 15-day stay (for nationalities that are not visa-exempt<\/strong>). However, travelers should check the conditions specific to their nationality before departure. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
