The aim is to simplify procedures for entering the country and improve the efficiency of border controls. Travellers have already been able to use the electronic version of the card for several months, but this will become compulsory on the planned date.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Last June 17, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.immigration.gov.tw\/5475\/5478\/141457\/142068\/393075\/cp_news\">an official statement<\/a> has been published by the National Immigration Agency to inform future travelers about the addition of this new procedure for traveling to Taiwan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Carte d'arriv\u00e9e \u00e9lectronique \/ Arrival Card<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The electronic arrival card must be completed online within 3 days of arrival in Taiwan. This measure concerns all foreign visitors, whether on business, tourism or for any other reason. The main aim of this transition is to&nbsp;<strong>modernizing entry formalities<\/strong>This will reduce the use of paper and facilitate data processing by the Taiwanese authorities.
