Kuwait and Qatar have been added to the list of eligible countries. This is an important step towards simplifying consular procedures and strengthening bilateral relations between India and the GCC countries. The initiative, hailed by India's Ambassador to Kuwait, Dr Adarsh Swaika, at a press conference, aims to facilitate travel and deepen human exchanges. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-pullquote\"><blockquote><p>\"This move is part of India's vision to democratize access and improve digital delivery of consular services.\"<\/p><cite>The Indian Ambassador, Dr Adarsh Swaika<\/cite><\/blockquote><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>On Thursday July 10, the Indian ambassador, <strong>Vinod K. Jacob<\/strong>had announced <a href=\"https:\/\/www.visamundi.co\/en\/blog\/bahrain-joins-the-list-of-nationalities-eligible-for-the-indian-e-visa\/\">the launch of the electronic visa (e-visa) for <strong>Bahraini nationals<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">E-Visa system<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The new scheme allows Kuwaiti citizens to apply for their visa to India in a fully automated way.&nbsp;<strong>dematerialized<\/strong>via the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.indianvisaonline.gov.in\/\">official portal<\/a> from the Indian government. It is no longer necessary to physically visit the embassy. The service covers five main visa categories: <strong>Tourism<\/strong>, <strong>Business<\/strong>, <strong>Medical<\/strong>, <strong>Ayush-yoga (Ayurveda)<\/strong>, <strong>Conference<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Processing time is generally between <strong>3 and 4 working days<\/strong>Fees vary from $40 to $80, depending on the type and duration of the visa.<br><br>Travelers must have a <strong>complete file of supporting documents<\/strong> the type of visa application chosen. <em>You can find the list of documents on the documents page of our website.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Copy of passport<\/strong>valid for at least 6 months from the date of arrival in India and a <strong>passport photo<\/strong> are required documents. A letter of invitation can be added to the list if you're traveling for medical, business, conference or humanitarian purposes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">E-Visa and eligibility for Gulf countries<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>With the exception of Iraq, <strong>all nationals of member countries of the Gulf Cooperation Council can apply for an electronic visa or e-Visa<\/strong>to facilitate their entry into India. Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Oman were previously eligible.
