This measure, valid for one year, is intended to facilitate leisure travel by Filipinos to India, and follows an earlier communication from the Indian Prime Minister confirming that this tourist visa will soon be free of charge for Filipino citizens.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Boosting tourism between India and the Philippines<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>India and the Philippines have unveiled a series of measures designed to facilitate travel and boost tourism for Filipino travelers to India. The announcements follow bilateral talks between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to Narendra Modi, a comprehensive action plan has been drawn up to make this partnership a reality, while Ferdinand Marcos Jr. welcomed the opening of visa-free entry privileges for Indians and thanked India for free visas for Filipinos, while calling for greater direct air connectivity. In keeping with this logic, <strong>Non-stop flights between Delhi and Manila to be launched<\/strong>The aim is to support mobility, tourism and economic and cultural exchanges between the two countries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The 30-day tourist ETA is free for Filipinos<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>30-day tourist e-visa<\/strong> is obtained online and confers, by default, a right to <strong>two inputs<\/strong> within the validity limit stamped by immigration on arrival, with first entry no later than the date shown on the Electronic Travel Authorization (ETA). Applications must be submitted at least four days before the planned date of arrival, and may be submitted up to 30 days before travel, with the passport having to be valid for at least six months at the time of application.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Upon entry into India, travelers may be required to present a return or onward ticket, as well as proof of sufficient funds for the duration of their stay, which may be requested at immigration control. <strong>Only 30-day tourist e-visa free of charge<\/strong>; other e-visa categories (longer-term tourism, business, conference, medical, accompanying medical, Ayush, student) are still subject to the usual fees, and traditional paper visas issued by the embassy are still subject to the current fees.
