As of April 01, 2025, 33 nationalities are eligible to obtain a visa online. There are no longer any exemptions for these nationals.<\/a> and it is mandatory to have started the visa-on-arrival process before the planned departure for Namibia. A number of new features are currently on the agenda, including the addition of new nationalities eligible for the online visa process<\/strong> as well as additional charges for requests made on arrival<\/strong>with an immigration officer. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

An official press release was issued by the Namibian Ministry of Information and Communication Technology on September 02, 2025, announcing a number of details concerning visa on arrival. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

New nationalities eligible<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

36 new nationalities to be added to the list of countries eligible for visas on arrival<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Here is the complete list of countries: \u00c5land Islands, American Samoa, Andorra, Anguilla, Antigua and Barbuda, Aruba, Bahamas, Barbados, Bermuda, Bolivia, Brunei Darussalam, Central African Republic, Cyprus, Dominican Republic, Georgia, Grenada, Haiti, Kiribati, Maldives, Malta, Monaco, Mongolia, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Palestine, Panama, Saint Kitts and Nevis, Saint Lucia, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, Samoa, Slovenia, Suriname, Sweden, Tonga, Trinidad and Tobago and Vanuatu.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Namibian authorities have not yet announced the date of implementation. As long as the measure is not yet in force, travelers must still apply for a visa at a Namibian embassy or consulate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Additional fees for visas obtained on arrival<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The platform of the Ministry of the Interior, Immigration, Safety and Security : eservices.mhaiss.gov.na<\/a> allows 90 nationals of eligible countries to apply for a visa on arrival. The aim is to start the visa process online, and then validate entry with the immigration authorities. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
