This measure applies to all foreign nationals visiting India for professional, tourism, study or business reasons. <strong>This formality is free of charge and there are no consular fees.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Gone are the days of frantically searching for a pen on the plane to fill in the form! You can now submit this information online before you leave. The request must be made within <strong>72 hours prior to your arrival in India<\/strong>. As soon as the form has been finalized, you'll be able to <strong>instantly download your e-Arrival Card in PDF format<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It is important to note that Indian citizens and Overseas Citizens of India (OCI) cardholders are not affected by this new digital arrival card.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>A global initiative to speed up the transition to immigration<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>This new measure is part of a wider drive by India's Home Ministry to use technology to speed up immigration procedures. It complements an existing program, the <strong>\"Fast Track Immigration - Trusted Traveller Programme (FTI-TTP)<\/strong>for Indian citizens and OCI cardholders.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Launched in 2024 and now available in 13 major airports, this program allows immigration clearance in just 30 seconds, without queues or manual checks.
