In this article, we explain the current procedures and the new ones introduced by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Current approaches are designed to <strong>make it easier for travellers to enter the country<\/strong>. At present, most nationalities can stay in the Philippines under the <strong>visa waiver program<\/strong>. Your stay must be temporary and may not exceed 30 or 59 days, depending on your country of origin. If you need to stay longer than this period, the authorities have launched an online application platform for obtaining a <strong>electronic visa (e-Visa)<\/strong>. Depending on the reason for your trip (tourism, business, medical), you can obtain an electronic travel authorization before departure, and for a longer duration of stay.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Nationals eligible for visa exemption<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Most countries are affected by <strong>30-day visa waiver<\/strong>. Among these are mainly countries from Europe, Oceania, America and Asia. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Here are a few exceptions for nationals of the following countries:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Brazil and Israel: 59-day visa waiver<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Hong Kong, India, Macao, Portugal and Taiwan: 14-day visa exemption<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>United Kingdom: 7-day visa waiver<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Electronic visa (e-Visa)<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>For travellers covered by the visa waiver program, but whose stay exceeds the authorized duration, it will be possible to <strong>request an electronic visa<\/strong>. Not all nationalities are eligible for e-Visa. The authorities are gradually announcing the opening up of this travel formality to new nationalities. You can check your eligibility on the authorities' official platform: <a href=\"https:\/\/evisa.gov.ph\/\">evisa.gov.ph\/<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Since September 2025, the authorities have allowed nationals of the following countries to obtain an e-Visa: France, Monaco, Greece, Cyprus, Northern Macedonia, the Netherlands and Austria.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In summary, citizens of the following countries can apply for e-Visa: \ud83c\udde6\ud83c\uddf9 Austria \ud83c\uddeb\ud83c\uddf7 France \ud83c\uddf2\ud83c\udde8 Monaco \ud83c\uddec\ud83c\uddf7 Greece \ud83c\udde8\ud83c\uddfe Cyprus \ud83c\uddf2\ud83c\uddf0 Northern Macedonia \ud83c\uddf3\ud83c\uddf1 NetherlandsNetherlands \ud83c\uddef\ud83c\uddf5 Japan \ud83c\uddf0\ud83c\uddf7 South Korea \ud83c\uddee\ud83c\udde9 Indonesia \ud83c\uddf8\ud83c\uddec Singapore \ud83c\uddee\ud83c\uddf3 India \ud83c\uddf0\ud83c\uddea Kenya \ud83c\uddf3\ud83c\uddec Nigeria \ud83c\udde6\ud83c\uddea United Arab Emirates<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Terms and conditions<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Make sure you have a <strong>valid passport, at least 6 months beyond the planned duration <\/strong>of your stay in the Philippines. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Depending on the type of visa chosen, <strong>you will need to add several supporting documents to your application<\/strong>. Here are a few examples: copy of your passport, round-trip flight reservation, proof of accommodation in the Philippines...<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>There are various types of non-immigrant visa, with fees varying according to the reason for entry. This digital system is free of charge and replaces traditional forms, making it easier for you to pass through immigration.
