Initially, this measure was due to expire on December 31, 2024. <strong>An extension has been granted by the government, until December 31, 2025. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-pullquote\"><blockquote><p>Extended temporary exemption period K-ETA: January 1, 2025 (Wednesday) to December 31, 2025 (Wednesday) (KST)<\/p><cite>Notice of extension of temporary exemption K-ETA<\/cite><\/blockquote><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The Visit Korea Year program<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>In December 2022, the Korean government defined 2023-2024 as the two years for visiting South Korea. This is an initiative launched by <a href=\"https:\/\/french.visitkorea.or.kr\/svc\/main\/index.do\">Tourist Office<\/a>with the aim of promoting the tourist destination worldwide. A variety of events, travel packages and promotional campaigns highlight Korean culture, with the aim of welcoming foreign visitors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In connection with this program, <strong>the Ministry of Justice authorizes citizens of several countries to enter the country without a K-ETA electronic travel authorization. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">K-ETA exemption until the end of 2025<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Which travellers will benefit from this exemption? Currently, <strong>67 nationalities can enter South Korea without a K-ETA travel document<\/strong>. This agreement is defined, and announced to be in force until December 31, 2025. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-danger-color\"><strong>Contrary to what some websites are saying, the Korean government has not announced any extension of the exemption to the end of 2026.<\/strong><\/mark>. Once considered, the press release has since been removed...<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Our agency's advice? <strong>Apply for K-ETA before your departure<\/strong>can save you time when checking in with the immigration officer on arrival. The electronic travel authorization is designed to facilitate and simplify administrative procedures at the arrival airport.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The e-Arrival electronic arrival card<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.visamundi.co\/en\/blog\/south-korea-launches-electronic-arrival-card-for-international-travelers-from-february-2025\/\">The e-Arrival electronic arrival card<\/a> is a new digital system that will replace traditional paper arrival forms. All international travellers can complete the <strong>e-Arrival form<\/strong>to simplify entry procedures on arrival in South Korea. The official online platform allows you to register at least 72 hours before arrival: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.e-arrivalcard.go.kr\/portal\/main\/index.do\">e-arrivalcard.go.kr<\/a>.
