The traditional disembarkation form, initially distributed on the plane, is being replaced by a 100 % digital procedure: the <strong>e-Arrival Card<\/strong> (Electronic arrival card). <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Major Indian airports such as Indira Gandhi International Airport (DEL) and Kempegowda International Airport have announced this new measure. <strong>Paper landing forms will be accepted until March 31, 2026.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<div class=\"entry-content-asset\"><blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\"><p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">From April 1, 2026, physical disembarkation cards will be discontinued. It enables the immigration authorities to collect your basic information (identity, flight, residential address) before you arrive in the country. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>The e-Arrival Card does not replace a visa!<\/strong> This is a complementary and 100 % free process, to be carried out after you have obtained your visa. You must still have obtained your eTA or visa from the embassy if your nationality is not eligible for online application.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Who is affected by this new measure?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The digitization of India's borders applies to almost all international travelers:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>The following are required to complete the form:<\/strong> All foreign nationals (tourists, business travellers, students, medical patients), as well as holders of the <strong>OCI<\/strong> (<em>Overseas Citizen of India<\/em>).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>The following are exempt:<\/strong> Only Indian citizens with an Indian passport.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The authorities have introduced a simplified system for grouping up to <strong>5 family members<\/strong> on a single quotation, making it much easier for groups of several travellers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">When and how do you make your declaration?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Your request must be submitted <strong>within 72 hours of your arrival in India<\/strong> (and before boarding at the latest). Airlines are now entitled to deny you boarding if you do not present your e-Arrival Card.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>There are two official secure channels: <strong>the government web portal :<\/strong> <a href=\"https:\/\/indianvisaonline.gov.in\/earrival\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">indianvisaonline.gov.in\/earrival<\/a><br>Or <strong>the official mobile application :<\/strong> <strong>Su-Swagatam<\/strong> (available on <a href=\"https:\/\/apps.apple.com\/fr\/app\/indian-visa-su-swagatam\/id1573902563\">the Apple App Store<\/a> and the <a href=\"https:\/\/play.google.com\/store\/apps\/details?id=org.nic.ivfrt.visitindia&amp;hl=fr\">Google Play Store<\/a>).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>No document to download (no upload).<\/strong> Just keep it handy:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Details of your passport (number, nationality, expiry date)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Your flight details (flight number, origin)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The reason for your stay<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The address of your first place of residence in India (hotel, Airbnb, with relatives)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Your contact details (email and phone number)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Once the form has been validated, a <strong>QR Code<\/strong> is instantly generated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p id=\"block-aa1d2b52-2cf0-486f-bc36-3f8c3320e7a7\">For our customers, especially those from non-European countries where stopovers can be long and tiring, arriving at major hubs such as New Delhi (DEL), Mumbai (BOM) or Bangalore (BLR) could be synonymous with interminable waiting.<br>The Indian Ministry of Home Affairs has set a target of <strong>reduce immigration waiting times by almost 40 %<\/strong>.
