Why the increase, and who is really affected?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Thailand is adjusting its administrative costs to support the modernization of its consular infrastructure. While this tariff update specifically targets requests processed in India<\/strong>, It is a strong indicator of the global trend of rising immigration costs to Thailand for non-OECD countries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Indian nationals currently benefit from a visa-free regime for short-stay tourism. The new fee structure therefore applies exclusively to travellers requiring a visa <\/strong>stamped on the passport, whether for specific stays, multiple-entry visas or expatriation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

TDAC arrival card<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

As of May 1, 2025, all international travelers arriving in Thailand by air, sea or land must complete the electronic arrival card<\/a> (Thailand Digital Arrival Card)<\/strong>. Visa waiver could be extended to 30 days<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The Thai government has announced a revision of its visa waiver policy<\/a>, aimed at reduce the length of stay granted<\/strong>. Currently, visa-exempt nationalities can stay in Thailand for up to 60 days. This could change for future travelers. Nothing is official, but it could be that the maximum stay will now be 30 days<\/strong>. A total of 93 nationalities would be affected by this new measure. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
