Developed in partnership with Amazon Web Services (AWS)<\/em> And Digital Identity Co Ltd<\/em>, The THIM platform is set to become Thailand's \u201cSuper App\u201d for immigration. The country, which welcomes some 30 million international visitors a year, is finally modernizing its infrastructure to relieve airport congestion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

No more repetitive data entry:<\/strong> The previous online system required you to fill in 20 fields for each trip. Now you create your complete profile just once. On subsequent trips, only the flight number and return date are required. Filling in takes less than 3 minutes.
Real-time synchronization :<\/strong> No need to present a QR code at immigration counters. Thanks to an e-KYC (Know Your Customer) process, your data is linked directly to your passport. All the officer has to do is scan your physical document to validate your file.
Multilingualism :<\/strong> From launch, the application supports English, Russian, Japanese and Chinese, with a planned extension to 15 languages to make it easier for travelers worldwide.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The official roll-out date is October 1, 2026<\/strong>. If you travel before this date, the current procedures will remain in force. However, we advise you to download the application as soon as it is available in your region, so that you can create your profile in advance. Travelers, who are often subject to stricter controls, will benefit from a much faster passage through customs. Full digitization also ensures accurate transmission of data (accommodation, return tickets, etc.), with no language barrier to the immigration officer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This is where the application really comes into its own. Eventually, the Immigration Office will transform THIM into a one-stop shop:
90-day score :<\/strong> Compulsory declaration of residence can be made entirely via the application, avoiding queues at provincial offices.
Extension services :<\/strong> Change of status requests, appointments and document submissions will be handled online.

3 steps to preparing your digital profile<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

To avoid customs blockages following the implementation of this new system, here is the strict protocol we recommend you adopt:
Biometrics verification :<\/strong> As the THIM system relies on reading the chip in your passport, make sure your travel document is a recent biometric passport in perfect condition (legibility of MRZ band and RFID chip).
Creating a single profile (e-KYC) :<\/strong> The first time you use the application, you'll need to validate your identity (usually by scanning your passport and taking a selfie). Do this from home, on a stable WiFi network, well before you leave for the airport.
Flight information update :<\/strong> Only validate your digital declaration once your return ticket has been formally issued and your first night's accommodation confirmed, as the system will automatically cross-reference this data.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
