With its epic landscapes and fascinating culture, Mongolia is the country of choice for travellers seeking adventure and discovery.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Until the end of 2025, citizens of the <strong>The following 34 countries are visa-free for travel to Mongolia for 30 days for the following reasons <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">tourism only <\/span><\/strong>: <em>Australia, Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Monaco, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, United Kingdom. <\/em>And<em> Switzerland.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>These countries join <strong>27 countries already visa-free <\/strong>: <em>Argentina, Belarus, Brazil, Canada, Chile, Ecuador, Germany, Hong Kong, Israel, Japan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Laos, Macao, Malaysia, Peru, Philippines, Russia, Serbia, Singapore, South Korea, Thailand, Turkey, Ukraine, United States, Uzbekistan. <\/em>And<em> Uruguay<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>Tourists from these 34 countries no longer need to apply for a visa to travel to Mongolia, either on arrival, at a Mongolian embassy or consulate, or online thanks to the online electronic visa (e-Visa) available since October 2021.<\/p>\n<p>However, people travelling to Mongolia for professional, family, study, internship or humanitarian reasons or for a trip of more than 30 days must always <a href=\"\/en\/destinations\/mongolia\/\">obtain a Mongolian visa at the embassy<\/a><\/p>\n<h2>Mongolia in figures<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>In 2019, Mongolia welcomed <strong>1.2 million international tourists<\/strong>8.3% higher than in 2018.<\/li>\n<li>The main<strong> countries of origin<\/strong> of tourists to Mongolia are China (63.3%), Russia (10.8%), the USA (4.1%) and Japan (3.2%).<\/li>\n<li>THE <strong>number of overnight stays<\/strong> recorded in hotel establishments rose by 10.2% in 2019, reaching 3.7 million overnight stays.<\/li>\n<li>Tourism accounts for around <strong>6.3% to GDP<\/strong> Mongolia.<\/li>\n<li>The average length of stay for tourists in Mongolia is <strong>5.2 days<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Mongolia has approximately <strong>26,000 hotel beds<\/strong>spread over approximately <strong>270 hotel establishments<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Mongolia's tourist season expands <strong>May to September<\/strong>.
