98 nationalities can now apply for Mongolia e-Visa
Mongolia expands e-Visa eligibility to 98 nationalities, including nearly all African and Middle Eastern countries, allowing 30-day tourism stays or 10-day transit within 5 months.
Previously available to just 36 nationalities, Mongolia’s e-Visa program now includes nearly triple that number—practically every country in Africa and the Middle East.
The Mongolian e-Visa allows stays of up to 30 days for tourism or events, or 10 days for transit. It must be used within 5 months of issue.
Here is the full list of the 98 newly eligible nationalities: Antigua and Barbuda, Albania, Andorra, Angola, Armenia, Bahamas, Barbados, Belize, Benin, Bhutan, Bolivia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Botswana, Brunei, Burundi, Cambodia, Cabo Verde, Central African Republic, China, Colombia, Comoros, Congo, Costa Rica, Côte d'Ivoire, Cuba, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Djibouti, Dominica, Dominican Republic, El Salvador, Equatorial Guinea, Eritrea, Eswatini, Ethiopia, Fiji, Gabon, Gambia, Ghana, Grenada, Guatemala, Guinea, Guinea-Bissau, Guyana, Haiti, Honduras, India, Jamaica, Kenya, Kiribati, Kuwait, Lesotho, Madagascar, Malawi, Marshall Islands, Mauritania, Mauritius, Mexico, Micronesia, Moldova, Montenegro, Mozambique, Myanmar, Namibia, Nauru, Nepal, Nicaragua, North Macedonia, Palau, Panama, Papua New Guinea, Paraguay, Rwanda, Saint Kitts and Nevis, Saint Lucia, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, Samoa, San Marino, Sao Tome and Principe, Senegal, Seychelles, Sierra Leone, Solomon Islands, South Sudan, Suriname, Tanzania, Timor-Leste, Togo, Tonga, Trinidad and Tobago, Tuvalu, Uganda, Vanuatu, Vatican City, Venezuela, Vietnam, Zambia, Zimbabwe and South Africa.
Meanwhile, 34 nationalities no longer need a visa until the end of 2025 under Mongolia’s Visit Mongolia Years tourism drive: Australia, Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Monaco, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland and the United Kingdom.
If these travelers plan to stay over 30 days or for non-tourism purposes, a visa from the embassy will be required.
More broadly, the following nationalities do not need a visa to travel to Mongolia:
90 days: Argentina, Belarus, Brazil, Chile, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Macao, Serbia, United States and Ukraine
30 days: Canada, China, Germany, Israel, Japan, Laos, Malaysia, Russia, Singapore, Thailand, Turkey and Uruguay
21 days: Philippines
14 days: Hong Kong
Visa on arrival is available to: Kuwait, Qatar and the United Arab Emirates.
