Belarus Extends Visa-Free Entry for European Travelers Until End of 2025

Belarus has extended visa-free access for citizens of 38 European nations through December 31, 2025. Discover the updated entry rules and key conditions for travelers.

Belarus has extended visa-free access for citizens of 38 European countries through December 31, 2025. The initiative, originally set to expire at the end of 2025, allows nationals of the eligible countries to visit Belarus without a visa for up to 30 consecutive days per entry, with a maximum stay of 90 days per calendar year.

President Alexander Lukashenko made the decision in response to the strong popularity of the visa-free program, which has welcomed over one million European visitors since its launch in 2022. Travelers may enter the country through all international land and air border points, provided they present a valid travel document valid for at least 90 days beyond their intended departure date.

Eligible countries include Germany, France, the United Kingdom, Italy, and neighboring nations such as Lithuania, Latvia, and Poland. The exemption aims to stimulate tourism and ease travel exchanges between Belarus and Europe.

For travelers not covered by the exemption or planning longer stays, an e-visa is available: https://www.visamundi.co/blog/belarus-evisa/.

The visa-free facility does not apply to holders of diplomatic, service, or special passports. Travelers must also comply with additional entry conditions, including proof of sufficient financial means and adequate travel insurance for their stay.
