India Embassy in France Resumes Consular Services After VFS Global Closure

France-based applicants must now apply directly through the Embassy of India for visas, passports, and OCI services following VFS Global’s July 1, 2025 closure.

Since July 1, 2025, VFS Global centers in France have closed and no longer process Indian visa, passport, Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) card, and other consular applications on behalf of the Embassy of India. If your request falls outside the e-Visa eligibility, you must now apply directly through the Consular Section of the Embassy of India in France.

Applying Online via the Embassy of India in France

This change affects travelers who do not qualify for India’s e-Visa, including those seeking long-term visas or business travel. As of July 1, 2025, the Embassy of India has resumed direct management of consular cases. The first step is to complete an online application form via their official website.

Scheduling an Appointment

Following submission of your online application, each applicant must book an appointment through the embassy’s online appointment system, available at: https://appointment.eoiparis.com/.

Contacting the Embassy

The Embassy of India in France (Consular Section) is located at 20-22 Rue Albéric Magnard, 75016 Paris. On the embassy’s contact page, you will find telephone numbers, email addresses, and opening hours for assistance.
