Indonesia Launches eVOA for 26 Nationalities
Indonesia introduces eVOA for 26 eligible nationalities, slashing wait times at Jakarta and Bali airports for tourism or business visits.
Travelers heading to Jakarta or Bali—whether in transit or for tourism or business—are set for a major upgrade. The country’s two busiest hubs are the first destinations where the new e-Visa on Arrival (eVOA) is now available, slashing a process once notorious for its paperwork delays.
Only 26 nationalities now qualify for the online route, which grants stays of 30 days: South Africa, Argentina, Australia, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, China, Denmark, France, Germany, India, Italy, Japan, Mexico, Netherlands, New Zealand, Russia, Saudi Arabia, South Korea, Spain, Switzerland, Turkey, Ukraine, United Kingdom, United States, Timor-Leste, and Timor Oriental.*
This online option simplifies what was—and remains—an on-arrival process for 86 other nationalities. Expect to pay around €30 (500 000 IDR) for your e-VOA, valid within three months of issue. In-country extensions of up to a further 30 days are possible at any immigration office before your initial stay expires.
From now until year-end, Visamundi is happy to guide first-time applicants. Until then, consult the official eVOA portal at evisa.imigrasi.go.id—just be sure to have a scanned copy of your passport bio-page and a passport-style photo ready.
