DigiYatra: seamless, paperless airport experience

The DigiYatra app—available for both iOS and Android—uses facial recognition to streamline terminal entry, improve airport security and digitize traveler identity storage. Developed by India’s Directorate General of Civil Aviation and the DigiYatra Foundation, the initiative supports the country’s push toward a fully digital society.

Its operational model mirrors that of the Trip.PASS app recently unveiled in South Korea.

Since 2015, India has been steadily expanding its network of e-Visa entry points, now reaching 31 international airports as peak travel season unfolds.
