How the New 48-Hour Extension Works

Express approval: Receive your official approval within 48 hours or less.
While the guaranteed processing time is 48 hours, travelers—especially those with multi-leg return flights—are advised to start the process at least 4–5 days before their current visa expires to avoid last-minute stress.
The 30-Day Visa on Arrival
The Maldives remains one of the world’s most accessible destinations. Most international travelers receive a free 30-day tourist visa on arrival, with no prior application required before leaving their home country.
