Oman reinstates tourism e-Visa with strict health checks

Oman reopens to tourists with new e-Visa and mandatory PCR testing plus seven-day quarantine under updated health protocols.

After several months of closure, the Sultanate of Oman has reopened its borders to international visitors.

To welcome tourists safely, Oman has introduced a new health protocol that all travellers must follow:

  • Download the Tawakkalna and Muhealth apps before arrival.

  • Complete three PCR tests: one 96 hours before departure, one upon arrival, and a final one at the end of the quarantine period (see details below).

  • Observe a mandatory seven-day quarantine in an approved facility.

Once all requirements are met, you can travel around Oman almost as normal.

Visamundi has streamlined the process with new support tools:

  • A simplified health declaration included in every visa application.

  • Our package covers the mandatory arrival PCR test (€54+) for travellers aged 16+.

  • PCR tests translated into English; passport number can be added (required for ages 16+).
