Saudi Arabia Expands E-Visa Program to Six New Countries
Saudi Arabia lowers e-Visa costs and adds Mauritius, Panama, Saint Kitts and Nevis, Seychelles, Thailand, and Turkey to its eligible nations list, welcoming more international travelers.
Saudi Arabia has recently lowered the price of its electronic visa for visitors while adding six new nationalities to the pool of eligible countries. The move aims to make the kingdom more accessible to international tourists and give the tourism sector a significant boost.
Six new nationalities now eligible
As of 17 October 2023, passport holders from the following six destinations may now obtain an e-Visa to travel to Saudi Arabia: Mauritius, Panama, Saint Kitts and Nevis, Seychelles, Thailand and Turkey.
Who can apply for a Saudi e-Visa?
Citizens of 65 countries and territories are now eligible to request an e-Visa for the kingdom, bringing the total number of eligible nationalities to 65.
Travelers from countries not included in the e-Visa list can still secure an entry permit through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs portal : visa.mofa.gov.sa or obtain a visa on arrival provided they hold a valid residence permit, tourist visa or business visa issued by an EU member state, the United States or the United Kingdom.
How to apply for a Saudi e-Visa
Eligible travelers—those from any of the 65 listed countries and territories—can submit a request for an e-Visa before departure via visa.visitsaudi.com. Visitors may also obtain a visa on arrival without prior paperwork.
