Saudi Arabia introduces new on-arrival visa for select nationalities

Saudi Arabia has launched a streamlined on-arrival visa process for Umrah pilgrims from multiple countries, eliminating the need for pre-travel applications. Discover eligibility, fees and key details here.

Saudi Arabia has recently unveiled a major visa procedure update regarding Umrah pilgrimage permits. The kingdom now offers a visa on arrival for citizens of several countries, meaning no pre-travel application is required.

As of August 20 2023, passport holders from the United States, United Kingdom, multiple European countries, Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, Malaysia, South Korea, Japan, Kazakhstan, Brunei and China can obtain Umrah visas upon arrival in the kingdom.

This new Umrah visa system is available whether arriving by air, sea or land, granting travelers a 90-day stay within the kingdom. These visas are not only for Umrah but also allow for family visits and tourism.
Visitors must pay a visa fee of 117 USD, which includes health insurance coverage.
