Cameroon E-Visa Updates: New Form Requirements Explained
Cameroon’s e-Visa portal has undergone updates, requiring travelers to specify their travel purpose and submit additional supporting documents based on their visit type.
On July 8, 2025, a maintenance update was performed on the official portal for Cameroon’s consular services. The e-Visa application form has been upgraded, introducing new required details that may affect your next online visa application.
What’s Changed in the Cameroon e-Visa Application Form
Travelers must now clearly state their purpose of travel when applying for a Cameroon e-Visa. Accepted reasons include tourism, business, volunteering, visiting friends or family, studies, and religious visits. This change impacts the list of documents you’ll need to upload with your application.
Required Supporting Documents by Travel Purpose
To ensure a smooth application process, prepare a complete application file with all necessary documents tailored to your travel reason.
Tourism or visiting friends and family: The requirements for tourist visas remain unchanged. Be ready to provide:
Passport valid for at least 6 months from your Cameroon departure date
Round-trip flight reservations
Yellow fever vaccination certificate
Accommodation certificate or hotel reservation
Proof of address (utility bill or equivalent)
Birth certificate or family record book
Previous visa (if applicable)
For minors traveling alone, a signed authorization to travel from legal guardians and their ID copies may be required. If parents are accompanying the child, including their flight tickets is recommended.
