Maximum stay of 15 days in China
Travel dates between 1 December 2023 and 30 November 2024
Leisure travel only (no work or study)
Eligible nationalities: France, Germany, United Kingdom, Italy, Spain, and Russia
Surge in flight searches to China after the announcement
As soon as the news broke on 24 November 2023, Kayak.fr recorded a sharp jump in flight searches to China—an increase of 65% over the previous week.
When looking at all searches recorded since October, the growth is even more striking at +95%.
The data covers queries made between 24 and 26 November 2023 for flights departing from French airports over the next 12 months.
Ticket price outlook remains positive
Despite the surge in demand, average return economy fares to China remain attractive at €856. Travelers should note that prices fluctuate and these savings are not guaranteed.
For longer stays of more than 15 days, travelers must apply through the Chinese Embassy or Consulate in France. Different visa types exist for tourism, business, study, work, and other purposes.
