Saudi Arabia Adds Three New e-Visa Eligible Nationalities
The Kingdom has expanded its electronic visa program to include citizens of the Bahamas, Barbados, and Grenada, simplifying travel for tourism, Umrah, business, and family visits.
The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia continues to broaden its electronic visa program, making its services more accessible to global citizens. The country recently announced that nationals of the Bahamas, Barbados, and Grenada may now apply for an e-Visa to visit the Kingdom. This initiative aims to promote global inclusivity and streamline visa processes, strengthening bilateral ties with these nations.
A step toward better global connectivity
The Saudi Ministry of Tourism took a significant step by extending its electronic visa program to citizens of the Bahamas, Barbados, and Grenada. Now, these individuals can take advantage of this convenient and expedited service for purposes such as tourism, visiting friends and family, or attending professional engagements such as conferences and exhibitions.
Tourism: Explore the Kingdom’s cultural and historical treasures.
Umrah pilgrimage: Undertake a spiritual journey outside Hajj season.
Business engagements: Attend events, exhibitions, and conferences in the Kingdom.

The benefits of Saudi e-Visa
This new visa offers several key advantages, including:
Simplicity: Apply online or obtain it upon arrival at international airports in Saudi Arabia.
Versatility: The visa covers a broad range of purposes, from tourism to business.
Extended validity: Tourist and business visas frequently allow longer stays, of up to 90 days.
While multiple-entry visas permit recurrent access to the country, stay durations are limited and subject to restrictions, including a prohibition on working for compensation and performing Umrah during Hajj season.
Alignment with Vision 2030
Expanding the e-Visa program fits seamlessly into the framework of Saudi Vision 2030, a forward-looking initiative to diversify the country’s economy and enhance its global connectivity. This strategic move not only boosts tourism but also fosters international cultural exchanges, enriching the visitor experience.
In addition to citizens of the Bahamas, Barbados, and Grenada, the electronic visa is also available to residents of the United States, United Kingdom, and European Union, as well as holders of visit visas for those regions. Residents of Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries may also avail themselves of this opportunity.
Additionally, Saudi Arabia has introduced transit visas for passengers traveling on Saudi national carriers, Saudia and flynas. These visas allow for a 96-hour stay in the Kingdom before continuing to another destination.
