Christophe and Sandrine have circled the globe together, yet they’re now taking the road less traveled—with their children in tow. The cheerful family of travelers shares their adventures on their blog, ChrissandVoyage.

What changed most for you over the past year?
2020 turned everyone’s lives upside-down with the global health crisis. We had to overhaul our routines overnight: home offices, remote schooling for the kids, and the cancellation of our travel plans. The children adapted better than we did, even if they were disappointed about missing out on summer getaways.
How did you keep ChrissandVoyage alive during that time? New topics? Old travel posts?
The blogosphere took a heavy hit when borders closed. Many creators had to reinvent themselves just to stay visible. We used the pause to update skills—learning new communication tools, revising old posts, tweaking the site’s technical back end, and coaching aspiring travel bloggers. By summer we managed to steal a few sun-soaked beach days despite the restrictions.
How do you see tourism bouncing back in the months and years ahead?
The crisis forced us—and the industry—to re-examine priorities. This isn’t some passing hiccup; it’s a direct consequence of the way we consume and travel. Unless we change course, further shocks—health or environmental—lie ahead. That’s why we’re shifting our own habits toward eco-conscious destinations like Costa Rica and choosing a slower, more intentional travel style.
Are you already plotting your next family adventure once the situation stabilizes?
Absolutely. We miss the road. When conditions allow, we’ll set off again as a family, while still being selective—avoiding overcrowded hot spots for now.
Any dream destination on your radar?
Right now, wide-open horizons beckon: we’re dreaming of Mongolia.
