Easier Travel to Belarus with the Electronic Visa from March 2025

Since 20 March 2025 Belarus has launched a new online e-Visa system for 67 eligible nationalities, replacing lengthy consular procedures with a swift digital process that covers tourism, business and short-term stays.

Since 20 March 2025, Belarus has introduced a new electronic visa (e-Visa) that simplifies travel for visitors from 67 eligible countries. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced the digital-first measure on its official platform, eliminating the need for cumbersome consular paperwork.

Citizens of 38 countries currently enjoy visa-exempt entry, and this exemption has been extended until 31 December 2025—find the latest list.

67 nationalities now eligible for the e-Visa

Whether you hold a passport from an EU member state (visa-free until 31 December 2025) or one of the 67 other eligible countries, the new e-Visa system is now live. The initiative marks a significant step in Belarus’s ongoing travel-opening policy.

How to apply in minutes

Bureaucracy becomes a thing of the past. Applications are filed entirely online via the official portal e-pasluga.by or the downloadable “E-Pasluga” mobile app.

The 67 eligible countries are:

Details you need to know

  • Visa type: Single entry

  • Maximum stay: 30 days

  • Valid purposes: Business visits, sporting, cultural, scientific or educational events, internships, private visits and tourism

Step-by-step checklist

  1. Timing: Apply at least seven calendar days before departure.

  2. Account: Register on E-Pasluga to create a personal profile.

  3. Form: Fill in required details—passport number, residential address, profession and the exact place of stay in Belarus.

  4. Documents: Upload nothing—all data is submitted digitally.

  5. Payment: Settle the fee securely by international debit/credit card.

Fee schedule

  • Base fee:

    • €35 for travellers from certain European countries.

    • €60 for all other eligible nationalities.

  • Service charge: An additional €6 covers processing and internet fees.

  • Free for kids: Children are exempt depending on age and nationality.

Online process explained

  1. Delivery: Your approved e-Visa appears in your online account within seven days.

  2. Keep a copy: Save or print the document before you travel.

  3. Arrival: Present it at any international checkpoint upon entry.

Essentials for smooth travel

  • Passport: Must remain valid for at least 90 days past the e-Visa expiry date and contain one blank page.

  • Insurance: Comprehensive medical-repatriation coverage of at least €10,000 is compulsory.

Entering Belarus – where and how

  • Border crossings accepted: All international points—airports, road checkpoints and railways.

  • Day counting: Your day of arrival and the day of departure each count as full days.
