The Hong Kong International Airport is rolling out a new program to enhance the transit experience for travelers: complimentary guided city tours that let visitors explore the city during extended layovers, turning layover time into a memorable cultural adventure.

Available to all passengers whose connection exceeds seven hours, this initiative is the result of a partnership between the Airport Authority Hong Kong and Trip.com. The goal? To transform HKIA into a global transit hub that also offers a gateway to Hong Kong’s cultural richness and diversity.

Two thematic itineraries are currently available:

• Heritage and Local Lifestyle Citywalk (12:00–16:00): Visit the Wong Tai Sin Temple followed by an immersion in the vibrant Sham Shui Po district, known for its bustling markets and authentic charm.

• Victoria & West Kowloon Waterfront Journey (17:30–21:30): Explore the cultural heart of West Kowloon, then stroll down the Avenue of Stars for breathtaking views of Victoria Harbour’s city lights.

Each tour includes round-trip transfers between the airport and your destination, access to multilingual guides (English, Mandarin, Cantonese), and all entry fees.
